Common questions about credits & billing

On Pro and Ultimate plans, credits reset each billing cycle and don't roll over. Free plan credits are one-time and never expire. Agency plan credits are purchased in blocks and don't expire. We're exploring rollover options for annual subscribers — join our roadmap forum to vote.

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately — you get the new credit limit right away and are prorated for the remaining month. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you keep your current credits until then.

Translations stop gracefully — no partial translations, no broken pages. You'll see a notification in the dashboard and can either wait for the next cycle, upgrade your plan, or purchase additional credit blocks. Existing translated content stays live and untouched.

Yes — you bring your own API keys (Claude, OpenAI, DeepL, Google). API costs are charged directly by those providers to your account. Translatio's plan fee covers the plugin software, features, and support — not the AI inference cost. This keeps pricing transparent and lets you choose the most cost-effective provider for each language.
